This temple is a very famous Temple of Goddess Saraswati in North Parvur in Ernakulam district of Kerala State. The main deity of this temple is Goddess Saraswati and there is also sub deities of Lord Ganesha,Lord Subramanyan,Lord Mahavishnu,Lord Hanuman and more. This temple is surrounded by lotus pond. So the the temple is in the middle of the pond. The history says that there was a Thampuran ruler of paravur was a big devotee of Goddess Mookambika so he used to vist the the temple in Kollur Manglore every year to visit and worship the goddess. After some time he got older so gradually his health was also getting lower. So he could not travel more. Its said that the goddess appeared in the dream of Thampuran and asked him buit a temple of mine near your Palace so you can worship me. As per the rules by Saraswati Bagavati he built a temple and installed the goddess. Famous festivals of this temple are Navaratri festival its celebrated in a grand way in which thousands of people come to hear the Navaratri music festival. And on Durgashtami the books are kept for pooja before the image of Saraswati Devi and on Vijayadashmi morning the vidyarambham takes place in special mandapam.
