Athirappilly Water Falls

Athirappilly waterfalls is situated in chalakudy in thrissur district,kerala,india.The waterfalls is in the chalakudy river.It is the largest waterfalls in kerala which is about 80feet above.Athirappilly waterfalls is known as “The Niagra of India”.Some scenes of baahubali 1 were shooted in athirappily waterfalls.It is surrounded by dense green forest.We can see lot of monkeys on the way to athirappilly waterfalls.Athirappilly waterfalls is joined with 4no: of drops.We are only permitted to only till a certain view point.When the rainy season starts the view point will also closed because the water flows very powerfully.When we go to athirappilly from chalakudy you will travel through winding roads,forest areas,small villages.The rainy season attracts people across india to come here.A steap narrow way leads the visitors to the waterfalls.
